When new this hotel must have been very modern. Efforts to keep it clean and tidy are quite apparent. The breakfast has improved and their dinner fare is a typical Chinese restaurant with a huge variety. Location, not good not bad A supermarket was near by Room, no big, and the bathroom was not comfort Breakfast is bad Huangyan's hotel was poor than Jiaojiang in Taizhou There is a river beside the hotel with a small river-side park.
I stayed 4 nights from 12th to 16th Feb I can best describe the place as a substandard hotel in a mostly well designed hotel building. Lift entrances on ground floor are too private. I arrived fairly late in the evening and went to my computer and then straight to bed.
Next morning I was dismayed to find some cigarette butts and a few tissues on the floor behind the door; see photograph. There were matching single beds which are often a worry and seemed to be a problem here. I subsequently was moved to another room along the corridor.
In breakfast room the carpet was badly soiled giving everything a bad feel. Moreover it was difficult to find a clean table spot to sit at. Illegal sexual activity appears to be rife at the Romance Hotel. It is definitely 'Dongguan' type situation with no penalties or controls evident. I told her what I had booked but she laughed; so I sent her packing.
From my observation management allow these woman to enter by front door and also via restaurant side entrance. These goings on could only be condoned to happen. Smoking is the other major problem and next to nothing is done to uphold policy. These problems could be fairly quickly be resolved by better executive management. This Hotel is a good property. We stayed here for 6 Nights. The hotel offered good room, but the Air conditioning was V poor, Other services were also not up-to the mark.
